Samsung Women's International Film Festival in Chennai 2011

Samsung India Electronics  and InKo Centre Chennai in association woth the Women's Iternationalfilm festivalSeoul, The national film Development corporationIndia, NFDC, The National film archive of India, Films Division, The Russian centre of Science and Culture together present the the 4th samsung Women's International film festival in Chennai  from July 15th to 23 rd, 2011.  This is the fourth year of the SWIFF  and the festival will focus on the Koren and Indian feature films, short films and the documentaries. Discussions will also be initiated  with the film practioners and viewers  to improve the understanding of about what constitutes a women's film. The focis will be on the perspective and not on the gender and so the films made by both men and women directors are included in this film festival.

There are  about 135 films  partipating in this festival from 51 countries like Algeria, China, Chile, Costa ricaTrinidad and Tobago, Kenya, Mexico and many more. These movies will be screened over the 9 days from 15th July to 23rd July of 2011.
