Today, the 19th of February will see 15 Budget hotels opening up in the 15 zones of the Chennai Corporation. The One Budget hotel / restaurant at Santhome will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister Jayalalitha today.
These restaurants will be run by Self Help Groups and 2400 women have been selected to run, clean and cook at these 200 canteens to be opened by March 31st 2013. There will not be packed deliveries. Food will be served only at the restaurants.
The price being 100 grams idly at Rs 1,
350 grams of Sambar Rice at Rs 5/
350 grams of curd rice at Rs 3
