Dining facilities at Vivanta By Taj Connemara Hotel



Vivanta By Taj Connemara Hotel is located in the heart of the Chennai city adjacent to the well known Spencers Plaza. There are 3 restaurants and one Bar in the hotel Connemara.

The Verandah is a Multi cuisine Restaurant located facing the swimming pool and is a contemporary all day dining restaurant. You can enjoy a medley of different cuisines namely, Anglo Indian, Italian, South Indian and Indian cuisines.  There is a lavish spread of Breakfast Buffet and dinner buffet on week days. On Fridays you can have an exclusive North Indian and Chinese Buffet and a lavish brunch on Sunday mornings.  Food festivals are also held here regularly of different and exotic cuisines from all over the world.
This restaurant is open throughout the day and the night 24x7
Seating Capacity - 90 covers
Signature dishes of The Verandah are Mulligatawny Soup, Fish Moilee and Grandma's Chicken Country.

Hip Asia is a Pan Asian Restaurant located at the Lobby Level and it is an indoor dining restaurant. The restaurant serves Japanese, Malay, Thai and Vietnamese cuisines and the timings are from 12.30 to 3.00 pm and 7.30 pm to midnight.
Hip Asia offers a choice of Teppanyaki set or a la carte menu as well as a selection of 5 set meals specially created atthe Teppanyaki counters.Rice Paper Rolls of Vietnam, Stewed Lamb Shanks in Chilli and Oyster Sauce as well as the Teppanyaki set are the signature dishes of the Hip Asia Restaurant.
Some of the other Delicacies you can try at the resturant are Grilled Soya paste on Sugarcane sticksMurtabak a Malaysian savoury Pancake, Prawns in Tamarind Sauce.
The seating capacity is about 78 covers and the reservations for the table are recommended.

The Raintree is a South Indian Chettinad Restaurant located at the Ground level of the Vivanta By Taj Connemara Hotel. The timings are  from 12.30 to 3.00 pm and 7.30 pm to midnight.
The trip to the restaurant is like a journey in to the past with oil lamps and the stone pillars.The setting is both open and air conditioned. There is a chutney and pickle trolley for you to taste from. They serve authentic Chettinad delicacies cooked in clay pots over wooded fire. You can have a taste of Chennai's deep rooted cuisine.
Seating capacity - 105 covers
Curryveppilai Yera ( Prawns with Curry leaves ) and Kozhi milagu Chettinad ( Pepper Chicken fry in Chettinad style )  are their signature dishes.

Distil is a Bar located at the Lobby Level of the Vivanta By taj Connemara Hotel. The timings are from 6 pm to 11 pm.  One of the best places in Chennai to chill ot with friends . Cocktailsmade from fruits and herbs with infused spiritsMargarita made from Tequila infused with Kaffir leaves and many more.
Distil has a selection of international spirits, rare whiskies, vodkas and imported beers etc. Seating Capacity - 64 covers
